A thrilling journey awaits you on the Nile in Jinja in eastern Uganda. The rafting trip takes you to Africa’s water rafting capital, as well as other exciting locations. When racing down 5-grade rapids with a skilled and experienced crew, you confront the greatest challenge of the mighty Nile. Overcome your worries by rushing down the rapids and taking in the stunning scenery of the Nile while kayaking between the eight rapids. At the end of your rafting adventure (typically in the afternoon), a scrumptious BBQ will be waiting for you on the Nile’s banks. When you go on this journey, you will be in the best of hands thanks to professional rafting equipment, safety boats, and expert kayakers. On this 1 day white water rafting adventure, you will also see some water birds on the Nile’s beaches and get a taste of the many activities performed by the locals while your journey there, since Jinja is a commercial city.
The tour provides a number of options, including half-day and full-day rafting, as well as grade 3 to grade 5 rafting. Half-day rafting typically lasts 2 hours and 30 minutes and exposes you to 4 water rapids, whilst full-day rafting exposes you to 8 incredible rapids. You may also go on a family float excursion.
Day By Day Tour Summary
Day 1: Transfer to Jinja rafting and departure.
Begin this day journey as early as possible, leaving Kampala no later than 7 a.m. Driving down the Kampala-Jinja highway. Along the route, you’ll pass through lugazi, a sugarcane plantation town, before entering Mabira, Central Uganda’s largest natural forest, which stretches for many kilometers along the Kampala-Jinja highway.
When you get to the Nile, you will meet the rafting staff and go through a briefing session where you will be shown the rules and given information regarding the rafting activity. You will choose between grade 3 and grade 5 rafting.
You will next board the boat and get into the water to practice the safety maneuvers that were discussed during the briefing. After that, you begin the rafting practice, progressing from easy to difficult rapids as you go. The rafting experience lasts 3 to 4 hours. It’s completely exciting! After rafting, you will have a delicious BBQ on the Nile’s banks. and then drive back to Kampala marking the end of your adventurous one-day safari.
