Overview
This 2 Days Nyirangongo Hiking safari takes you down to hike one of the most active volcanoes worldwide with its most tragic eruptions witnessed in 1882, 1977, 1994, and 2002. During these eruption moments, some lava went into lake kivu serious earthquakes were experienced around the towns of Goma and Gisenyi destroying properties and many people abandoning their homes.

Day 1: Arrival and Nyiragongo hiking
On arrival, you will kick off the hike at kibati taking only five hours to get to the viewpoint of Nyiragongo mountain. Lunch, dinner, and overnight stay at the mountain camps.
Day 2: Descending and departure
After your mountain breakfast, you will start right away to descend the mountain taking you only three hours to get to the bottom. On arrival at the bottom, you will meet your guide and start with your departing drive back home marking the end of your safari.
