Day By Day

Day 1: Travel to Murchison Falls National Park | Rhino Tracking | Top Of The Falls | Evening Game Drive

You will reach Uganda early in the morning. After your name is printed on an A4 piece of paper, our Monumental Expeditions and Safaris representative will pick you up from Entebbe Airport and take you to Murchison Falls National Park.

To follow rhinos, you will venture to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. One of the most beautiful things to do in Uganda is this. You will be taken to Murchison Falls National Park following the rhino tracking. The top of the falls will be your first stop as a visitor in the park. Seeing the surging whitewater as it squeezes through the small opening below is an exhilarating experience.

Geographically dominated by the Nile River and the 43-meter-tall waterfall that bears its name, the 3,480-kilometer-square Murchison Falls National Park is one of the few safari sites in Africa that can be visited by car, boat, or guided walk. A wide variety of aquatic birds and other animals will be visible.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive | Boat Cruise | Birding | Evening Game Drive in Murchison Falls National Park

At 6:00 am, you will depart quite early. You’re going to go on a game drive in the morning. You will return to your accommodation for lunch following the game drive. You will have a three-hour boat ride on the Nile in the afternoon, from 2:00 to 4:00. From the bottom, this boat trip provides a breathtaking perspective of the falls. Along the river’s banks, one can spot antelopes, crocodiles, hippos, and aquatic birds.

Imagine yourself covered in a blanket and out in the gentle morning light, right before the animals come out of their nocturnal excursions or their sleep. An early morning game drive may become your favorite time of day to go on safari because the world feels new and fresh and the sun hasn’t yet set.

Day 3: Travel to Kibale National Park | Community Walk

Following breakfast, you will leave Murchison Falls National Park and head southwest via the vast Western Rift Valley’s Albertine Escarpment. The vibrant and picturesque town of Fort Portal, the capital of the Tooro kingdom, is located in the shadow of the legendary “Mountains of the Moon,” the Rwenzori, after passing through Hoima and Kyejonjo region. On the way, you’ll either eat lunch.

After arriving, you will drive to Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a cultural exchange and a community walk. The Magombe wetland is where it’s situated. Many primate species, including the red Colobus monkey, baboon, black and white Colobus monkey, blue monkey, grey-cheeked, mangabey, vervet monkey, red-tailed monkey, and L’Hoest monkey, are found in this region, which is known for its wide variety of biodiversity.

You will have a guided tour through the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, which is run by the community.
You will spend the night and have dinner at Kibale Forest Camp (Bandas).

21-Day Breathtaking Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya & Tanzania Tour

Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale National Park

Depending on where the chimpanzees are, the tracking will begin early and take two to three hours.
One of the most unforgettable safari experiences is getting to see chimpanzees in their natural habitat. It is an experience of a lifetime to get up close to these animals that share so much of our DNA, and you will never forget the thrill of strolling through the forest and realizing how close they are.

You will return to the lodge to recuperate after the hike.

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park | Boat Ride | Evening Game Drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park

You will go to Queen Elizabeth National Park following breakfast. People and wildlife live side by side in this expansive park. On the way, you’ll have lunch.

You will take a boat cruise when you arrive. A boat excursion around the Kazinga Channel, which links Lake Edward and Lake George, will be enjoyable for you. Boat cruises along the Kazinga Channel offer some of the best views of wildlife, including crocodiles, squacco herons, pied kingfishers, an abundance of buffalo and hippo, several bird species, and large mammals. This is among the park’s most unforgettable experiences. You will do a game drive in the evening after the boat ride.

The greatest all-around safari site in Uganda is Queen Elizabeth National Park, which you will explore. Not only does this biodiverse park harbor four of the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, and buffalo), but it also boasts wetlands that sustain an incredible 5,000 hippos, as well as sizable herds of flamingos, pelicans, and other aquatic species.

21-Day Breathtaking Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya & Tanzania TourDay 6: Ishasha Sector | Transfer To Bwindi Impenetrable National Park| Batwa Cultural Interaction

You will be taken to the Ishasha sector to see the tree-climbing lions in the Kasenyi Plains following an early breakfast. It’s time to travel to Ishasha, Queen Elizabeth’s southern district. The tree-climbing lions in this area are well-known.

The first thing you will do when you go to Ishasha is look for lions in one of the enormous trees. The Ishasha area is well-known for its native tree-climbing lions, which are a remarkable sight and a highlight of any safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park. While the Uganda Kob, the lions’ primary food source, graze on the plains of the Ishasha sector, lions can occasionally be seen hanging on the limbs of enormous fig trees in the park’s southern area. You will then be taken to the impenetrable national park of Bwindi.

Day 7: Gorilla Trekking | Travel to Lake Bunyonyi, Lake with 29 Islands

After breakfast, you and your guide will pack lunches and head to the park headquarters for a training on what to do and what not to do when visiting the gorillas. Following that, you’ll go gorilla trekking through the misty rain forest. Depending on where the gentle giants are, the trip may last 2 to 6 hours. Bring rain gear, non-flash cameras, sturdy shoes, and plenty of water.

You will return to the lodge to have a shower and unwind after your experience. After that, you will depart in the evening for a transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, a winding body of water that is sprinkled with 29 islands of all sizes and shapes that will astound you. Bunyonyi, a flooded river valley that stretches 25 km from north to south but is only 5 km wide, was dammed by a lava flow 8,000 years ago. Swimming is safe due to the lack of crocodiles and hippos, which has also led to an exceptionally high otter population.

Day 8: Travel To Rwanda | Transfer to Musanze | Cultural Village Tour

Following breakfast, you will be transported to the border between Rwanda and Uganda before being taken to Musanze. You will visit the community cultural village to see Rwandan culture, including traditional dance, after stopping for lunch en route. A non-profit umbrella group called Iby’iwacu Cultural Village works to enhance the quality of life for communities and reformed poachers in the vicinity of Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park by offering conservation incentives, fostering the growth of community businesses, and funding livelihood-based initiatives.

The pleasant highland town of Musanze (previously Ruhengeri), Rwanda’s third-largest settlement, is well-known for being a starting point for trekking and gorilla tracking in Volcanoes National Park. Volcanoes National Park is located in the breathtaking Virunga Mountains. With the biggest volcano, Karisimbi, rising to 4,507 meters, this mountain range is Africa’s sixth highest and one of its most biodiverse.

Day 9: Travel to Akagera National Park | Boat Ride

You will be taken to Akagera National Park in the south after breakfast. On your route to a boat trip, you will stop for lunch and take a little game drive.

There are several large species in the park, but the most sought-after ones include lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, elephants, and hippos. These animals will make for amazing photo opportunities. Through community tours, the park has recently engaged the community and made significant conservation progress.

The fact that Rwanda’s top savannah reserve is currently one of the few safari locations that can be found to include all five of the famous Big Five may surprise you. In addition to giraffes, zebras, warthogs, a diverse range of antelope, and 550 different species of birds, Akagera National Park is home to flourishing populations of lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos, and black rhinos. A boat excursion on Lake Ihema will allow you to see crocodiles and hippos in the water or along the beach.

21-Day Breathtaking Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya & Tanzania TourDay 10: Morning And Evening Game Drive In Akagera National Park

We get up early and head out for a game drive in the northern region of Akagera National Park immediately following breakfast. Elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, several antelope species, and most recently, the reintroduced lions and rhinos, are among the large creatures we will be looking for. With more than 500 bird species, the park is a birder’s paradise and a diverse habitat for wildlife.

Day 11: Travel To Kigali | City Tour | Genocide Memorial Visit | Fly To Kenya

After being transferred to Kigali, you will have a city tour that includes a stop at the Genocide Memorial Monument, which provides a brief overview of the history of the nation you are visiting. Kigali, which is expanding quickly, is a great place to start your exploration of the Land of 1000 Hills because of its vibrant arts scene, happy craft markets, and abundance of museums.

You will be taken to the Kigali Airport for your planned trip to Kenya following the Genocide Center tour. Our Monumental Expeditions and Safaris representative will greet you at Jomo Kenyatta Airport with your name printed on an A4 piece of paper when you arrive at 9 p.m. from Kigali Airport. After that, you will be taken to your Nairobi hotel.

With its excellent dining options, hotels, bars, and nightclubs, Nairobi offers an intriguing introduction to contemporary Kenyan life. You’ll also have the opportunity to take in some top-notch markets, boutiques, animal attractions, and museums.

Day 12: Travel to Lake Naivasha | Boat Ride

After breakfast and an early wake-up, you will check out and depart for Lake Naivasha. After checking into your accommodation upon arriving in Lake Naivasha, you will depart for an evening boat trip.

Lake Naivasha, one of the most picturesque lakes in Kenya’s Rift Valley, is a lovely location where giraffes and zebras graze the shoreline and you may spot hippos. It’s a beautiful break from your safari.

Day 13: Hell’s Gate National Park For Bike riding | Lake Nakuru National Park | Evening Game Drive

At Hell’s Gate National Park, you will ride bikes for around 2 hours after breakfast. Compared to other Kenyan parks, Hell’s Gate National Park offers a unique experience. Since there are no predators here, you can exit your car to take in the view of the gorge and search for buffalo, giraffes, impalas, zebras, and rock hyrax.

You will arrive at your hotel in the afternoon after being transported to Lake Nakuru National Park. You will go on a game drive in the evening after lunch. When you visit Lake Nakuru National Park, you’re going to have a great time. The chance to view lions (some even scale trees here), leopards, flamingos, and endangered Rothschild’s giraffes are among the highlights, but it’s also one of the greatest spots to observe black and white rhinos. The natural drama is enhanced by a steep escarpment overlooking the lake, rich birdlife, and picturesque acacia woodlands.

Day 14: Morning and Evening Game Drive in Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, you’ll head out for the morning game drive. After lunch, you will return to the lodge before going on an evening game drive. The flamingos and more than 400 bird species in Lake Nakuru National Park are the park’s main attractions.

The lake is located on the Rift Valley floor and is a soda lake. It is very amazing to see millions of flamingos at times. The lake looks rimmed in pink from a distance.

Day 15: Travel to Masai Mara National Reserve| Maasai Cultural Interactions | Evening Game Drive

You’ll leave for Masai Mara after breakfast. You will arrive in the evening after traveling across the Rift Valley floor. You will have a cultural tour of the nearby Maasai hamlet after arriving in Maasai Mara. You will engage with local Maasai people and gain knowledge about the Maasai community. On request, an overnight stay in the Maasai village can be arranged.

You will then take part in the evening game drive. The diversity and richness of wildlife in Masai Mara National Reserve make it hard to imagine that more than 450 animal species have been identified there.

Greetings from one of Kenya’s top safari locations. In addition to the more than 500 species of birds that have been identified in the Masai Mara National Reserve, you can almost certainly spot lions, hippos, elephants, giraffes, wildebeests, buffaloes, impalas, and zebras. You’re also likely to come across cheetahs and leopards.21-Day Breathtaking Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya & Tanzania Tour

Day 16: Hot Air Balloon safari (Optional Activity) | Full Day Game Drive in Masai Mara National Reserve

A packed lunch is brought, and the entire day is spent in the park after breakfast, looking for the park’s famous predators and their adversaries, which include zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, lions, cheetahs, elephants, buffalo, and other animals.

The diversity and richness of wildlife in the Masai Mara National Reserve make it hard to imagine that more than 450 animal species have been identified there. Lions, rhinos, giraffes, crocodiles, hippos, lions, zebras, buffalos, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalos, leopards, various antelopes, and elephants are all readily seen.

Optional activity: On this day, you can arrange an early morning balloon safari for USD 485 per person before continuing with the regular schedule.

Day 17: Transfer From Masai Mara National Reserve to Serengeti National Park | Evening Game Drive

You’ll bring meals when you travel to Tanzania’s borders. After completing immigration procedures and meeting the Tanzanian driver/guide, you will drive to Serengeti National Park with your lunch packed.

You will enjoy an evening drive when you reach to the Serengeti. You’ll learn why the Serengeti captures the hearts of so many safari tourists. Be on the lookout for nearly every type of safari animal you can think of, including large cats and even larger elephants. Hundreds of bird species, buffalos, zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, impalas, and more could all be seen before breakfast. Whether you witness a hunt, a large herd, or a mother defending her cub or baby, you will always remember the interactions between these creatures.

Observe Africa’s famous acacia trees, the park’s golden meadows, and enormous boulder piles known as kopjes. The Serengeti’s landscape is equally unforgettable.

Day 18: Optional Hot Air Balloon Safari (US $600 per person) | Full Day Game Drive | Serengeti National Park

Getting up early to maximize your time in this amazing park will allow you to spend the entire day there. It is an optional activity that costs US $600 per person if you would rather go on a hot air balloon safari in Serengeti National Park. The top spots for spotting will be selected by our experts based on the season. At the hippo pool, you may spend time observing a large pride of lions, crocodiles, and other creatures as they comfortably lounge in the cool water.

Unquestionably one of the most renowned wilderness regions in the world, the Serengeti National Park—which translates to “endless plains” in Maasai—continually inspires authors, filmmakers, and photographers. Tanzania’s oldest national park, Serengeti National Park, is well-known for its role in the yearly Great Migration, which sees antelopes and wildebeests move to Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve.

Day 19: Travel to Ngorongoro Crater | Evening Game Drive

You will pack lunches and proceed to Ngorongoro Crater for a wildlife drive following an early breakfast. To reach the base of the Rift Valley Escarpment, a striking bluff that is almost 2,000 feet high, you will traverse the Ngorongoro Crater Highlands. You’ll go on a game drive in the evening.

Discover why the enchanted Ngorongoro is unique in Africa. Aside from the altitude, the vista across the caldera of this extinct volcano will leave you out of breath. Cloud forests wrap the crater rim. After driving down a steep trail, you reach the crater floor, where the natural beauty of the area is enhanced by a unique wildlife offering. You will be surrounded by hyenas, lions, elephants, black rhinos, and hippos amid the crater floor’s submerged habitat. In the millennia after the volcano unleashed its deadly wrath on the planet, an ecosystem has developed in the crater. You might have one of your favorite safari days ever.

Day 20: Travel to Lake Manyara National Park | Game Drive

After leaving Ngorongoro, you will go to Lake Manyara National Park. This area has a floodplain that is periodically flooded by Lake Manyara and a short strip of acacia woodland. This region includes Lake Manyara Park, which is frequently disregarded despite having a wealth of wildlife and is well-known for its tree-climbing lions.

The main street of Mto Wa Mbu, which is located near the Lake Manyara National Park gate, is where you will stroll. Tanzanians from all across the country mix with safari tourists in this lively and interesting tiny town. Members of all 120 of Tanzania’s tribal groups reside here, so you’ll quickly get a sense of the diversity of tribal cultures and the sometimes hectic, sometimes relaxed pace of local life.

Day 21: Transfer To Airport

You will be transported to Arusha town for shopping after breakfast, eat lunch there, and then continue on to Kilimanjaro International Airport in time for your planned departure home.
