Day By Day Tour Summary
DAY 1: Transfer To Bwindi For the 3 Day Uganda Gorilla Trekking Tour
Depart Entebbe/Kampala on the first day of your three-day Uganda gorilla trekking tour. The travel from Entebbe/Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in Southwestern Uganda takes about 8 and 9 hours. Even though the journey appears to be very long, it is well worth it since you get to appreciate the countryside beauty with some of the most stunning views spanning from plantations, and hills, all the way to the Virunga Massif. Just keep your cameras close by, and your driver will definitely stop if you need him to so you can capture that beautiful scene.
You will stop en route at the Equator crossing at Kayabwe for pictures and a simple experiment before continuing to Mbarara for lunch. After lunch, you will take a lovely drive to Bwindi National Park and check into your lodge for the night.
DAY 2: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi National Park
After an early breakfast, your guide will transport you to the Ruhija Park Headquarters for a briefing, where you will join others before proceeding into the bush for your gorilla trek. Depending on the location of the mountain gorilla family on that specific day, this trip might range anywhere from 30 minutes to 7 hours.
Once you have located the gorillas, you will be able to spend one hour with them watching their behavior and photographing them before returning to the Park Headquarters to receive your certificate confirming that you have tracked gorillas in Uganda. overnight stay at your lodge.
DAY 3: Return To Kampala or Entebbe Airport
After breakfast, you will be transported back to Kampala or Entebbe for post-tour lodging, or you may opt to fly out of Uganda on the final day of your vacation. Because you will be taking the same route back, you will have another stop at the Equator crossing for photos, souvenirs, or simply to relax before continuing to Kampala/Entebbe.
