This 4-day Masai Mara Wildlife Safari begins from Nairobi and provides an incredible safari experience with accommodation in premium lodges or camps as well as exhilarating, private game drives within the main Maasai Mara National Reserve. The Masai Mara Reserve is one of the world’s most recognized animal protection zones, home to a diverse range of African species. This Safari begins and finishes in Nairobi City, making it perfect for travelers coming on morning flights into Nairobi who do not need to spend the night in the city prior to the Safari.
Day-by-Day Tour Summary
DAY 1: Nairobi: Transfer to Masai Mara Game Reserve
Our driver and guide will meet you at your Nairobi hotel. At around 8:00 a.m., travel in your own safari vehicle for a picturesque journey down into the Rift Valley to Masai Mara, Kenya’s greatest wildlife reserve. Stop momentarily on the way for breathtaking views of the world’s biggest valley at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint. Arrive in the Masai Mara Reserve in plenty of time for lunch.
At 3.30 p.m., go on a game drive to see the park’s unparalleled wildlife. Return to your lodge or tent at 6.30 p.m. Enjoy your supper and stay at the Lodge.
DAY 2:Â Full-day two-game drives in Masai Mara Reserve
After breakfast, embark on a full-day wildlife drive in Masai Mara Reserve at around 6 a.m., bringing a packed picnic lunch. Return to your camp or lodge for supper and overnight, as described above.
DAY 3: Full-day Masai Mara Reserve, Optional Masai Mara Village Visit or Hot air balloon ride
Take a game drive in the morning and afternoon. On your safari, you might visit a Maasai village or take a hot-air balloon flight. Return to your camp or lodge in the evening for supper and an overnight stay.
DAY 4: Return to Nairobi
You begin your final game drive in the Mara at sunrise, followed by a leisurely breakfast and departure for Nairobi. Arrive in Nairobi early in the afternoon for transport to your hotel or to the airport for your trip home.
