Gorilla Trekking can only be done in countries like Uganda (Bwindi Impenetrable National Park & Mgahinga Gorilla National Park), Rwanda at Volcanoes National Park and DRC in Virunga National Park. You could still use road means of transport from Kenya to Kampala by use of a bus and set off to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park /Mgahinga Gorilla National Park for Gorilla Trekking in case you can’t afford a flight. Better still you can transfer to Kigali –Rwanda after Gorilla Trekking in Uganda and have a flight still out of Kigali International Airport hence reducing the driving duration of 9-10 hrs – Kampala,4-5 hrs to Kigali.

This activity of Gorilla Trekking is a yearly activity done year in and year out, but some months are more wonderful than others for instance June-September & December –February, during this period the forest is not too thick and the trekking grounds are not muddy/slippery, which makes it easier the activity to hike. Without forgetting Rwanda has gotten the most expensive Gorilla Permit at $1500 per person, per trek, followed by Uganda at a cost of $800 per person and DRC having the cheapest at a cost of $400 per person in the high/dry season and yet it also gives discounts at a cost of $200 per person in the wet season.
