Mokolodi Nature Reserve Botswana.

Located in southern Botswana, Mokolodi Nature Reserve is a private, non-profit wildlife reserve. Situated on 30 km sq. of donated property, 10 km south of the city Gaborone, it was founded in 1994 by The Mokolodi Wildlife Foundation.

Tracking Rhinos

Follow a rhino on foot as a member of our conservation team and a guide lead the way. Expect to spend about three to five hours exploring the Reserve with a group of two to six people, give or take depending on weather and the presence of rhino footprints. Comes with a lunch in the garden. Adolescent must be 15 years old

The Tracking of Gifts

Follow a giraffe with the help of a guide and a conservationist. In the Reserve, groups of two to ten people may expect to spend three to five hours exploring different trails and terrains, weather permitting. A lunch in the wilderness will follow the activities. At least fourteen years old

Cycling through the park

Our three cycling paths provide something for everyone, from novices to seasoned mountain bikers, so you can enjoy a leisurely ride throughout the Reserve. The trails provide an unmatched vantage point from which to see the Reserve’s fauna as they lead riders past many kinds of flora.

Accessing Botswana’s Mokolodi Nature Reserve via Public Transportation

Located 12 kilometers south of Gaborone lies the entrance to the reserve. Those using public transportation may board a bus bound for Lobatse and disembark at the designated stop. The entrance is 1.5 kilometers away from that point.

Mokolodi Nature Reserve: When to Visit?
Almost any time of year is perfect for wildlife viewing at Mokolodi. Extreme weather is uncommon, and the reserve is manageable in size. Game drives may be more difficult during the rainy season (October–April) due to the possibility of the occasional rainstorm and damaged roads.
