Gorilla habituation safaris from Masaka town.
Gorilla Habituation Safaris departing from Masaka town and heading to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park are now available from Monumental Expeditions and Safaris. Our investigation into Masaka, one of the largest cities in central Uganda, led us to provide safari services to the locals there. Our gorilla habitat tours often begin in Rwanda’s Entebbe, Kampala, or Kigali, but we can also tailor a tour
to your schedule and budget whether you’re in Masaka, Mbarara, Kabale, or anywhere else in the country. Monumental Expeditions and Safaris can verify availability, book, and acquire gorilla habitat permits on your behalf, saving you the trouble of having to fly to Kampala, the headquarters of the Uganda Wildlife Authority, to do it yourself.
An Adventure in Gorilla Habituation
In 2017, the Gorilla Habituation Experience was introduced by the Uganda Wildlife Authority. This experience allows travelers to spend four hours with mountain gorillas, with the clock starting to tick whenever you see fresh gorilla tracks while you’re on your walk. Those interested in spending more time with mountain gorillas may book this four-hour walk from Masaka with Monumental Expeditions and Safaris.
This is in contrast to the usual tracking, which only permits you one hour when you spot the gorillas on your hike. Locals, tourists, and employees of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in the Masaka area may all benefit from this gorilla habituation experience.
The morning of your Gorilla Habituation safari departs from Masaka town. Your professional driver guide will pick you up from your location and give you a rundown of the day’s activities. Then, you’ll set off on a scenic drive with photo stops, lunch, and a stop at Bwindi Forest National Park for dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.
The next day, after an early breakfast at the lodge, you will begin your Gorilla Habituation Experience in the National Park. Your guide will transport you to the National Park headquarters, where you may register and get a training about the dos and don’ts of trekking to see the Mountain Gorillas. The lodge will provide you with drinking water and a packed lunch.
Park rangers with extensive experience in gorilla habituation will be there to help you acclimate the animals to being around humans. In addition to snapping pictures and seeing the gorillas in their natural habitat, you can help researchers acclimate these endangered animals to people by identifying them, testing them, and making calls.
Upon returning to the park headquarters after your four-hour trip, you will be presented with a certificate as a token of appreciation for your contributions to the preservation of these endangered animals in their natural habitat.
After breakfast on day three, you will have the option to check out and drive to a location of your choosing. En route back from Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, you may stop for lunch and photography. Your gorilla habitat adventure safari with Monumental Expeditions and Safaris Uganda comes to a close at this point.
THE PREREQUISITES FOR A 4-HOUR GORILLA TREK
You should be aware that the four-hour gorilla trek departs from Masaka town and only stops at Rushaga, in the southern section of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Because of this, you should stay away from hotels and resorts in other areas.
People under the age of 15 will not be permitted to participate in the gorilla habituation experience. It is recommended to reserve your Gorilla Habituation Permits in advance to avoid disappointment, since there is a daily limit of four visitors allowed to see a habituated family of mountain gorillas.
Our adventure safaris departing from Masaka and arriving at Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park include a gorilla permit, which grants you the opportunity to spend four hours in the company of habituated mountain gorillas. Additionally, our safaris include the services of a park ranger guide, security to ensure your safety, taxes, and park entrance fees.
We also include transportation in a 4Ă—4 safari vehicle with a professional driver guide, lodging and meals, as well as gasoline for the whole journey and water to drink while on the road. It does not cover anything of a personal nature, including beverages and gratuity. Please get in touch with Monumental Expeditions and Safaris at your earliest convenience.
