Through their initiatives, Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary does provide training courses and volunteer opportunities. Students may stay at tinka’s farmhouse and learn more about the wildlife and vegetation of the sanctuary under the direction of the wetland management.

During limited food seasons in kibale forest chimpanzees, gray cheeked Mangabeys, red colobus monkeys, L’Hoest’s Monkeys, Vervet monkeys, blue monkeys, black and white colobus, Red tailed monkey and baboons have been observed feeding in the swamp on season fruits and other vegetation.
