Brief information about the tour
This 2 Day Congo Gorilla Trekking Safari package takes you to the cheapest gorilla destination worldwide. The safari is based in Virunga national park situated in the eastern part of Congo bordering Rwanda in the northwest and Uganda in the west.
Day By Day Tour Summary
Day 1: Transfer to Virunga National Park
Upon meeting with our guide from monumental expeditions, you will start your journey to Virunga national park and spend your night at bukima tented camp. Having enjoyed your lunch en route, you will have dinner at your lodge.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking and departure
After having an early morning breakfast, you will leave the lodge with a well-packed lunch and drive to the park headquarters for the break before the beginning of the trek. The park has eight fully habituated gorilla families, but those close to Bukima Tented Camp include Nyakamwe with 12 members, Humba with 10 members, Rugendo with 10 members, and Munyaga with 9 members.
After the trekking, you will head back, marking the end of your safari.
