Queen Elizabeth national park

Brief information about the tour

Our 3 Day Queen Elizabeth Wildlife Safari is specifically intended for individuals who have limited time in Uganda yet want to enjoy game drives, breathtaking views, and a boat excursion on the Kazinga Channel. Queen Elizabeth National Park, located in western Uganda, is one of the few acknowledged national parks for wildlife watching, boat cruises, chimpanzee trekking in Chambura, nature hikes, and other activities. Our three-day Queen Elizabeth wildlife safari begins and ends in Kampala, but may also be planned from other small towns in Uganda.

Day-by-Day Tour Summary

  • Day 1: Drive from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth NP. Evening game drive
  • Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise
  • Day 3: Morning game drive and depart for Kampala.

Day 1: Drive from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth NP. Evening game drive

You will be picked up from your lodge in the early morning and driven to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Monumental Expeditions and Safari‘s guide will first inform you on what to anticipate, driving time, and ensure that you have the necessary equipment for your three-day Queen Elizabeth wildlife safari. This route will take you through tiny settlements along the Kampala-Mbarara Road. Along the route, you will be able to view royal drum manufacturers, tiny marketplaces, and make a stop at the Equator for stretching and photographs. Lunch will be given on way, after which we will go to Queen Elizabeth National Park for some leisure and, if time permits, an evening game drive.

Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruiseKazinga Channel Boat Ride

3 Days Queen Elizabeth National Park SafariFollowing an early morning cup of coffee or tea, you will proceed to Kasenyi Plains for a game drive designed specifically for you on your three-day Queen Elizabeth wildlife safari. The Kasenyi plains are home to a variety of wild creatures, the probability of which you will see varies on the day. On a good day, you may see large cats such as lions and leopards hunting, as well as buffaloes, elephants, antelopes, warthogs, and other small animals. Return to the resort for lunch before driving to the Mweya Peninsular for a two-hour boat tour in the Kazinga Channel. The Kazinga channel boasts the world’s biggest concentration of hippos, over 400 water bird species, and is where most animals congregate to drink water. Hippos, birds, elephants, buffaloes, crocodiles, and other wildlife are common sightings. Return to your lodge for supper and overnight.

Day 3: Morning game drive and depart for Kampala.

Depending on your flight out of Uganda, you may choose to do another game drive before returning to Entebbe. You may chose to stop along the journey to see some crater lakes, the rift valley bottom, and escarpments before arriving in Kampala or Entebbe in the late afternoon.
