Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport

On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, a professional tour guide from monumental expeditions will transfer you to your hotel in Entebbe, and that’s where you will have your lovely dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

Nobody can tell you how your first sunrise in Africa tastes, yeah? After an early breakfast, begin your 14-day Uganda wildlife safari trip by travelling to the Mabamba marsh on the banks of Lake Victoria. This is one of the country’s few surviving marshes, which are preserved by local communities. It is a vast papyrus swamp with a maze of canals and lagoons that is home to numerous pairs of Uganda’s most renowned avian residents, the Shoebills. This spectacular monotypic species is without a doubt one of Africa’s most sought-after birds. Paddle your boat across the waterways. View an excellent collection of classic East African water birds to view on your journey.

This requires a supply of four hours on the road between locations. Take an evening wildlife drive to see zebras, elephants, Buffaloes, impalas, and topis. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge

Day 3: Lake Mburo National Park

The 14-day Uganda wildlife safari takes you on your first savanna adventure to the modest and easily accessible Lake Mburo National Park. Enjoy a relaxing morning savanna game drive in the park, where you can get up close and personal with some of Africa’s great game species before returning to the lodge in time for breakfast.

After breakfast, you’ll be led on foot into the park for a grizzly nature walk and a canoe trip on Lake Mburo. You’ll get back in time for lunch at the lodge. After lunch, take another walk about the resort till late in the evening before retiring to the lodge—a magnificent day in the savanna, capped off with a brilliant sunset over Africa’s skies.

Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Let’s extend your Finest Uganda Safari trip to the southwestern, riding across some of Africa’s most gorgeous scenery on a calm rural ride. After an early breakfast, meet your guide and travel through the game tracks, catching glimpses of early morning savanna tenants as you flow through Mbarara town, Kabale, and Kisoro town before continuing to your Lodge, where you’ll spend the following few nights in the drizzly jungles. The journey takes 6 to 7 hours, including stops in picturesque African communities along the way.

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is home to 23 of Uganda’s 24 Albertine Rift unique bird species, making it possibly the most prolific montane forest birding destination in Africa. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, once part of a much wider forest that encompassed the Virunga Volcanoes in neighbouring Rwanda, is today an ecological island amid a sea of human agriculture with tremendous conservation value.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking Experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

With a lunch box and potable water in your bag, the Greatest Uganda Safari has an adventurous turn as you journey into the African forest in search of the enigmatic mountain gorilla. Your driver will transport you to the trailhead, where you will be briefed on the dos and don’ts of tracking and interacting with the gorillas.

Several rangers, a guide, and seven other tourists from each gorilla family will accompany you into the bush. This action can continue anywhere from a few hours to a whole day, depending on where the gorillas are in the dense jungle. Strict procedures must be followed to keep you and the gorillas in their accustomed state.

Day 6: Hike Across Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Drive over the Nteko Ridge to the Ivy River Trail’s connection with the forest after a very early breakfast, and then begin the spectacular journey across the forest. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is a massive, one-of-a-kind ecological reserve where you may see monkeys, duikers, bush pigs, and some of Bwindi’s reality bird species, as well as numerous butterflies. You could even see gorillas if you’re lucky!

The goal of this activity is for your walking safari guide to share his expertise in the jungle with you. It’s not just a walk from point A to point B. The track is also a vital walkway for locals, especially on market days, connecting Nkuringo and Nteko to Buhoma on the park’s northern edge. Because there is no road through Bwindi, cars travelling between the two destinations must endure a 170-kilometer (6 to 8-hour) journey.

Catch the car at the park offices in Buhoma and leave for Queen Elizabeth National Park. The southern section of Ishasha is well-known for its native ‘tree-climbing’ lions, who are a one-of-a-kind attraction. The lions may be seen hanging from the limbs of massive fig trees, while the Uganda Kob (the lions’ principal meal) grazes on the plains below. The journey takes around 4 hours.

Day 7: Queen Elizabeth national Park: Launch cruise & Game drive

Mornings are allocated to game drives in Queen Elizabeth National Park and a boat ride on the Kazinga Channel, a 36-kilometer canal between Lake George and Lake Edward that provides for close-up views of animals and birds on the river banks as the boat glides past schools of hippos. Crocodiles have only lately been spotted in the Channel, having been eradicated from Lake Edward by carcinogenic debris from nearby volcanoes 8,000 years ago.

Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of Uganda’s oldest parks, having been established in 1952. The park was formerly known as ‘Kazinga National Park’ until it was renamed in 1954 to honour Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom. The park has 95 species of animals, more than any other park in Uganda, and 619 bird species, the second most of any park in Africa and the sixth most of any park in the world.

Take a break and return to the resort for lunch before embarking on an afternoon Launch sail around the Kazinga waterway. When going west, approaching Lake Edward, the waterway is 40 feet wide and gives spectacular sightings of herds of hippos along the banks and other bird species.

Day 8: Queen Elizabeth National Park—Kibale Forest National Park

After an early breakfast, continue your savanna wildlife drive. View more African safari wildlife as they return from their hunting adventures.

Your guide will drive, enter the highway and go to Kibale Forest National Park. Enjoy the scenery as you drive along the Kaseses-Fort Portal route on Uganda’s southwestern border. Kibale Forest National Park is home to a large number of primates.

From Kasese to Kibale, the drive will take between 3 and 4 hours.

Day 9: Chimpanzee Habituation Experience in Kibale forest

This is your second Safari rainforest jungle task: identify the enthusiastic chimpanzee troop and keep up with their normal daily activities. Can you handle it? It’s exciting and draining, but it’s worth every second.

Sober up at 6:30 a.m. and travel to the trailhead (5-minute walk), where you will be informed on the chimp habituation adventure and then go into the forest with an armed ranger, your guide, physicians, and researchers; you will spend the entire day trailing chimps. Various animal species and bird species will be spotted while tracking, including the Red Colobus, Black and White Colobus, Grey-cheeked Mangabey, Olive Baboon, Red-tailed Monkey, and L’Hoest’s Monkey, among others.

Day 10: Kibale to Murchison Falls National Park

Get an early breakfast, drive over the Outcrop, and enjoy the scenery as you make your way to Murchison Falls National Park. This will be a long driving day of 7-8 hours, with frequent pauses to relieve your legs.

Before proceeding to the resort, enjoy a game drive game in which you capture them from their hunting adventures.

Day 11: Murchison Falls Savanna Experience

After breakfast, a further savanna adventure on this Finest  Uganda Safari begins with a morning game drive along the Murchison trails. Giraffes, elephants, lions, hartebeests, and several bird species may be seen. Look for the beautiful Rothchild Giraffe, Jackson’s Hartebeest, Uganda Kob, Defassa Waterbuck, Buffaloes, Elephants, Warthogs, Hippos, Oribi, and, if you’re lucky, a leopard and lion.

After that thrilling wildlife drive, you’ll go on a morning delta boat cruise to the base of Murchison Falls. Keep an eye out for the Nile crocodile, hippos, waterbucks, and several bird species. You will depart at the foot of the waterfalls and hike your way to the peak of the falls, where you will be greeted with breathtaking views of the Nile. Also, keep an eye out for various bird species.

Day 12: Transfer from Murchison to Kidepo Valley National Park

After your morning break, you will then embark on your drive to Kidepo Valley National Park which takes you about 4 hours. On arrival, you will check-in and enjoy lunch at your lodge, and then hit the wild for an evening game drive where you expect to see the plenty of wildlife that resides in the area; these include lions, elephants, buffalos, and antelopes of all kinds, plus a blend of bird species.

After a successful drive, you will head to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 13: Kidepo Valley National Park

We headed out early in the morning after breakfast for a 2-3 hour morning game drive to Kidepo Valley National Park, where we were hoping to spot lions, cheetahs, and leopards. Return to the lodge in time for breakfast. Enjoy a mid-morning swim in the open pool while watching nature from the resort. The resort provides an excellent observation platform for animals, and you will frequently hear lions roar and hyenas cry at night.

Take a break from your Best of Uganda Safari Tour and unwind with a wonderful savanna meal. We may organise a completely parked game drive in the evening to view the beautiful sunset over the African skyline.

Day 14: Flight To Entebbe and Departure

Morning game drive, followed by breakfast and lunch at the lodge. You will be taken to the airport for your flight to Entebbe. Our driver will transport you to the hotel for the day room. Later, transfer to Entebbe International Airport in preparation for your nighttime trip.
