Brief information about the tour
The Pian Upe and Sipi Falls safari takes you to the tranquil wilderness of north-eastern Uganda to visit Pian Upe Wildlife Reserve and the green hills of eastern Uganda to hike the stunning Sipi Falls.
Pian Upe Wildlife Reserve is located in northern Uganda and spans 2275 square kilometres (227500 hectares/878 square miles), making it the country’s second-largest protected area after Murchison Falls National Park, which spans 384000 hectares. This enormous animal reserve is part of the Larger Mount Elgon Conservation Area and is home to a diverse range of remarkable wildlife and bird species that may be seen in the National Parks, including cheetahs, jackals, ostriches, roan antelopes, leopards, greater kudus, and many more. Pian Upe Wildlife Reserve provides spectacular wildlife-watching opportunities, birding opportunities, and traditional entertainment from local Karamajong settlements.
The Sipi Falls are three magnificent waterfalls located on the foothills of Mount Elgon in the Kapchorwa area (in eastern Uganda). The biggest and highest of the three waterfalls, at 100 metres in height, is larger than the other two, which measure 75 and 85 metres.
