Planning A 3 Day Gorilla Safari in Uganda
This 3 Day Uganda Gorilla safari will take you gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, which encompasses 321 square kilometers and is one of the oldest forests, dating back over 25,000 years. You will get the opportunity to trek one of the habituated mountain gorilla groups.
In addition to the gorillas, you will get the opportunity to witness other primates like as red-tailed monkeys, chimps, baboons, and black-and-white colobus monkeys. This forest is also home to 120 animals, 51 reptiles, 310 butterfly species, 27 frog, gecko, and chameleon species, 163 tree species, 104 fern species, 1000 blooming plants, and over 350 bird species, including hornbills and Turacos.
Gorilla trekking takes between 2 to 8 hours and is well worth it since hikers will enjoy climbing up and around the undulating hills and passing through the beautiful greenery.

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park on Day 1.
After an early morning breakfast, our guide will take you up from the airport or your hotel  at 07:00hrs. Before you proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in southern Uganda, you will be informed on the entire safari. You will pay a visit to a local drum and craft producing village along the route.
Then a photo break at the Equator, where you can also buy crafts and souvenirs before continuing on to Mbarara, where you will have lunch. After that, go to Bwindi, where you will arrive in the late afternoon. Check into the lodge, unwind in the evening, and dine.
Day 2: Bwindi Forest gorilla trekking
After an early breakfast, travel to the park headquarters, where you will be instructed by park rangers on what to do and what not to do while in the park. You will also be separated into groups of eight. After that, proceed and begin gorilla trekking these gentle giants as advised by the rangers.
It is a wonderful and beautiful experience to observe the mountain gorillas feed, play, and go about their daily routines. This exercise might take 2 hours or up to 8 hours depending on the gorillas’ location and mobility. Expect to travel lengthy miles in muddy and hilly terrain, which will need the use of a walking stick. When you meet the gorillas, you will spend one hour photographing them.
Return to the lodge later, and in the evening, you may opt to rest at the lodge or visit the Batwa village, where you will be exposed to their culture via how they live, dance, and hear tales about their history that will leave you surprised. Have dinner and sleep.
Day 3: Departure for Kampala.
Have an early breakfast, check out, and leave the “Switzerland of Uganda” behind as you begin your drive back to Kampala, going through rolling hills with terraces and admiring the rich nature of the many locations you will pass through. Lunch will be served at Mbarara, and another visit will be made at Mbambire Drum Makers Point. After purchasing several of these drums, proceed to Kampala, arriving late in the afternoon. The tour will leave you off at your hotel or at the airport in time for your trip home.
