3 Days Chimpanzee Trekking in Uganda Kibale

The three-day Chimpanzee trekking safari will take you to Kibale Forest National Park in Western Uganda, which is one of Africa’s greatest rainforests and is roughly 795 kilometers by road from Kampala, Uganda’s capital.

This park is home to around 13 primates, among which are Chimpanzees, who have a DNA similar to that of humans. Other animal species include 70 kinds of mammals and over 375 bird species. The two main activities will be chimp trekking in the forest and the Bigodi wetland hike.

Travel to Kibale Forest National Park on Day 1.

On this day, you will wake up early and have breakfast at the hotel/residence, and your tour guide/driver will pick you up from there. After a briefing regarding the safari, you will drive to Kibale National Park in western Uganda. Stop at Fortportal for lunch before continuing on to the tea plantations or the Toro crater lakes. Go to the park and check into your preferred lodging. You may go on a nature walk in the forest that evening and witness various animal species. Prepare for Chimpanzee trekking the next day with supper and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Chimpanzee hiking and a trip to the Bigodi Wetland

Following breakfast, your driver will take you to the park information center, where you and other tourists will be taught on what to do and what not to do when hiking chimps. Following that, you will head out to search for chimps in the jungle and have an incredible adventure. Hiking may take 2 to 6 hours, depending on the location of the chimps.

While you go through the forest, you will be able to witness numerous birds, and monkeys such as the black and white colobus, grey-cheeked Mangabey, and golden monkeys, among others, as well as diverse tree types. After spending time with the chimps, return to the lodge for lunch, and then your guide/driver will take you to Bigodi Wetland for a swamp walk, where you will see more primates such as red-tailed monkeys, baboons, bush pigs, LHoests Monkeys, otters, and others, as well as bird species such as the great blue Turaco. You will also meet several elderly folks who live in that community, as well as school-aged youngsters.

At the end of the day, you will have had a fantastic African experience because you will have seen how these people live and go about their daily lives, among other things. Return to the lodge for supper and overnight.

Day 3: Travel to Kampala

When you conclude your three-day safari, have breakfast at the resort. Following breakfast, depart for Kampala with a packed lunch from the resort. You’ll arrive in Kampala in the evening. Breakfast and lunch menus
