Activities on Ngamba Island- Jane goodal chimpanzee sanctuary – Day trips from Entebbe – Lake Victoria in Entebbe.
Ngamba Island Adventures —Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary, located on the tranquil shores of Lake Victoria, is a haven for 49 chimpanzees who have been rescued from various parts of East Africa and are now orphans. The care and upkeep of the sanctuary is the responsibility of the non-governmental organization Chimpanzee Trust, which also operates the wildlife conservation trust.
We collaborate closely with the Ugandan government and wildlife authorities, and we are deeply dedicated to field conservation and community education. We give half-day and full-day excursions to the sanctuary, where you can also spend the night at the Ngamba Eco Lodge. This is a once in a lifetime chance to see these amazing great apes in their natural habitat.
