Filming in Uganda-equipment clearance, all permits.
Clearance of filming equipment, Ugandan film crew fixers, Filming permissions, sometimes known as Uganda filming permits, are necessary in all shooting locations, including Uganda itself. These licenses are essentially press credentials in the form of media cards and a letter of approval from the Uganda media council.
Production companies and film crews are now free to shoot wherever in Uganda they choose thanks to this. The Uganda Media Council and any other relevant shooting venues may be contacted via Monumental Expeditions and Safaris for assistance in obtaining the necessary filming permissions.
Clearance of equipment for filming in Uganda Do you need media credentials and press accreditation immediately?, Are you interested in shooting in any of Uganda’s national parks and need the necessary paperwork to do so? In addition to landing deals with the Uganda Wildlife Authority for filming? Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport in Uganda, we handle customs clearance for shooting equipment, provide media cards for all international crew members, clear all filming gear, secure filming sites, and arrange transportation in sturdy 4×4 cars.
Entebbe International Airport’s customs processing process
All film teams bringing equipment into Uganda are required to temporarily clear it at immigration upon arrival. This may be a hassle and can wind up costing a pretty penny. At Monumental Expeditions and Safaris, we work with professional clearance agencies.
Each time you provide us a kit list, we transmit it to them for review. Once we determine how much it would cost to get the kit approved into the nation, it is often a percentage of the total price of all your equipment. After we provide you our professional advice, you may prepay. Our clearance agent will be at immigration to meet you when you arrive and guide you through the process.
Press accreditation or media credentials
In order to shoot in Uganda, international journalists and crew members must first get accreditation from the Uganda Media Council, which is the only authority in the country charged with giving such permits. Accreditation letters and media credentials may be obtained by us in two to three business days provided everything is done promptly.
In response to your inquiry, a fixer from our office will be in touch with you to provide you with a form G that requests the information needed by the media council. Please fill it out and submit it back to us via email, together with two passport pictures and a copy of your passport. Media cards cost $175 each, with an additional $25 charge for each additional month of filming after the first thirty.
Film crew members’ visas upon arrival at the airport
In cases where members would prefer not to wait in line, we can arrange for a letter confirming that your production company will be filming in Uganda for a specific duration.
