Tracking starts early in the morning, at about 8:30 am, and then can go from 2 hrs to the whole day reliant on the Gorilla’s mode of moving/positions. Drive from Kampala by 8:00 am and transfer to Western part of Uganda. This 3 Day Gorilla trek tour takes you to the misty Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, which shelters more than half the population of the remaining 720 Mountain Gorillas. Bwindi Impenetrable forest offers an exclusive birding prospect, cultural encounters, a lovely/picturesque attraction of splendid hills and lushly vegetation occupied by the indefinable primates. Gorilla trekking activity is the most captivating encounter in this forest.

After breakfast embark on your for an 8-9 hr drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park situated in the south western part of the country. Then have a stopover at the Equator where you will experiment the 2 hemispheres at the same time and take also take some photos, lunch stopover before proceeding with your trip to Bwindi reaching in the evening. Have your early morning breakfast and set off to the Park offices to join other trekkers in a session updating you about the gorilla trekking rules and regulations that must be followed and respected. You will then dip into the thick creepers and undergrowth with your ranger/guide to search for the Gorillas and normally this activity takes about 1-8 hrs. The steeply forested landscape is extremely dense but traversed by various animal trails letting entry by trekkers. You are strictly given 1 hr to spend with these gentle giants and then leave for Lake Bunyonyi. The drive will be via a lovely part of the country often referred to as ‘the Switzerland of Africa’due to its exclusive cool weather regardless of being near the Equator. Lake Bunyonyi is one of the most stunning places in Western Uganda, second deepest lake in Africa (900 m deep) and a considered Bilharzia free lake where one can swim in safely.
