What is the Safest Country for Gorilla Trekking? Gorilla trekking is one of the most…

How difficult is gorilla trekking? Gorilla Trekking Difficulty
I had heard a lot of various versions of gorilla trekking in Bwindi, and the truth is, the length and labor of your trek will depend on where your family of gentle giants (gorillas) is hanging out. Our rangers told us that some groups find their gorillas in approximately 30 minutes, while other groups end up trekking for longer hours into the jungle.
Indeed, you’re not certain to spot gorillas on your trek, but the park directs out trekkers before the groups, who are then in commerce with the group guides, and they know where these gentle giants (mountain gorillas) were the preceding day, so they can usually find them fairly quickly.
An hour with these Mountain Gorillas
When we did our search and found our family of gorillas, we were strictly given 1 hour to notice and watch them, how they do their day-to-day activities, and how the young ones play and entertain you, so as not to bother them too much.
I took some photos, but since I’m not into wildlife photography, I spent most of the time just quietly watching these gentle giants and mountain gorillas. We were precisely advised to keep a distance of at least 7 meters from them/where they were, but they kept walking up to and via our group, and a couple even put their arms around some of us
Mountain gorillas and humans share 98% of the same DNA, and it is kind of crazy how similar we all seem.
Right as our hour with them drew to an end, the family decided that it was time to move on, so we watched them get up and head deeper into the jungle. And that’s when all the tears started flowing, as it hit me how lucky I was to get to spend time with these endangered species, the mountain gorillas.
