By Air
The nearest international airport to Murchison Falls National Park is Entebbe International Airport, located near the capital city, Kampala. From there, you can take a domestic flight to either Pakuba Airstrip or Bugungu Airstrip, which are within or near the park. Several domestic airlines operate flights to these airstrips, and the flight duration is approximately 1-2 hours.
By Road
If you prefer to travel by road, you can reach Murchison Falls National Park from Kampala or other major towns in Uganda. The journey from Kampala takes approximately 4-5 hours, depending on road conditions and traffic. The main route is via Kampala-Gulu Highway (Acholi Road). From the town of Masindi, you’ll branch off onto a dirt road that leads to the park’s Kichumbanyobo Gate.
