Nile River White water Rafting in Jinja Uganda – Bungee jumping in Jinja. Monumental Expeditions…
Jinja Source of the Nile.
Jinja Source of the Nile.
The Eastern Uganda in Jinja district is the source of the River Nile. The second longest river in the world with special appeal, the Nile was found by first European adventurer Speke. With eleven nations within its drainage basin—Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Congo-Kinshasa, Kenya, Ethiopia, Eritrea, South Sudan, Sudan and Egypt—this is an international River.
Particularly for Egypt and Sudan, the Nile is their main water supply. Two main tributaries of the Nile are the White and Blue Niles. Considered as the headwaters and main stream of the Nile River itself is the White Nile. Still, the bulk of the water and silt come from the Blue Nile.
Longer and rising in the Great Lakes area of central Africa, the White Nile has an unknown but most remote source perhaps in Rwanda or Burundi. It runs north from Tanzania via South Sudan, Lake Victoria, Uganda.
Jinja’s River Nile journey is scheduled for those with a whole day to spend either before or after their other excursions. One day Jinja source of the Nile excursion is another method for people in Uganda for seminars/meetings and conferences to spend their free time appreciating the beauty of Uganda the Pearl of Africa.

Strategically placed near the Nile’s source, many boats serve to transport customers to the precise location. This boat trip lasts around one hour and will allow you to see a few Nile water birds.
One is encouraged to start somewhat early in the morning so that there is enough time to travel back to Kampala given traffic on the road from Kampala-Jinja. If you have some free time, you might as well travel in and around Jinja to investigate more about what our ancient cities have to offer in terms of excursions and activities. Monumental Expeditions and Safaris will set this up for you upon your contact.
