If you want to know what to do and what not to do when you’re in the presence of mountain gorillas, just ask the park ranger. After then, you’ll be taken back to the beginning of your journey into the bush to find the gorilla family that you’ve been given the task of finding.
Important Note:
Which gorilla family you end up in is based on your age, degree of fitness, and areas of interest.
Just let your guide know what you’re into, and before you go on your jungle excursion, he’ll see if he can get you a gorilla family that suits your tastes.
Tracking gorillas may take anywhere from half an hour to three quarters of a day, so it’s best to be ready for either scenario.
Your park ranger guide will fill you in on additional details about the forest’s fauna, including the gorillas, as you make your way to each family.
After a brief one-hour viewing of the gorillas in their natural habitat, during which you will be able to snap photos and film, you will have to make the long trip back to the park headquarters to get your certificate of conservation for the Ugandan mountain gorillas.
